To join Protospace, please fill out the following and select your payment type.

Protospace Membership – $50 / Month:

  • An RFID keyfob for building access 24 hour access, 7 days a week
  • Discounts on products through our partners
  • Access to tools (CNC, Laser cutter, etc) and online discussions
  • Protospace Welcome Kit (stickers, business cards, etc)
  • Voting rights

 
Post Secondary Student? Click here!

For Membership, please complete the following steps:

  1. Fill out the Protospace Membership Application
  2. Fill out the Protospace Liability Waiver
  3. Make a payment: PayPal (preferred), cash payment to a director, or Interac Email Transfer to info@protospace.ca
  4. Receive an email confirmation from info@protospace.ca

Donate to Become a Friend: $10 / Month:

If you value what Protospace is doing, but don’t have the time, money, or need for full membership please consider becoming an official friend of Protospace. A donation of $10/month or more will get you access to our behind the scenes discussions, planning, and member co-ordination. It also gets you member supervised access to the space for group projects. Not to mention serious street cred as a supporter of what is rapidly becoming a hub in Calgary’s innovative, art/tech community. Protospace can’t run on inspiration alone, and relies on your donations to help fund the one-of-a-kind projects and tech education that your local hackerspace is providing for the city and beyond.

Membership Notes:

  • Full Members are subject to one month probation before receiving a keyfob.
  • Applicants are required to identify 2 current members who will sponsor (or vouch) for their membership application
  • Non-members are allowed to join our weekly Tuesday meetings but will not have access to tools without supervsion
  • Membership will be suspended if a member is more than three months behind in dues
  • Student member status requires valid post-secondary student identification
  • Artist & Starving Hacker status can be granted at the discretion of Directors, please send them an email if you this is something you’d like to discuss further
